Sleeping Beauty thank you speech - Jack Holloway
So now I move onto the all-important thank yous. Seriously though, before anyone goes anywhere, I want to take some time to say thank you. Because what you’ve seen tonight didn’t just appear. This show exists because of a ridiculous amount of teamwork, creativity, patience, and people saying “yes” when they could have said I’ll pass! Firstly I would like to welcome our new members, Josh, Bex, Clark, Luca, Annie, Tia, Josh and Thomas. It’s really important that we are const

While some scenes unfolded in front of the curtains, their opening revealed vibrant scenery that was truly impressive. The set designers

Sleeping Beauty Review by Brian McEwan
The good news is that PBDS don’t look like falling asleep for an indeterminate number of years after their latest spectacular sell-out ‘Sleeping Beauty’, although sadly for the senior citizens within the audience, the aging process will not have been temporarily arrested. In seeking to avoid repeating myself from previous reviews, I’m well aware that cast, backstage, costumes, technical crews, FOH et al expect and indeed deserve mention. For me however – and especially in pan

The Unfriend by Steven Mofatt
We are delighted to announce that this year PBDS will be entering a play into the Kent Theatre Festival 2026 which runs from February to May 2026. It is an amature drama competiton that most drama groups in the area get involved in to produce plays and hopefully win some awards. This year we are entering a play called The Unfriend by Steven Mofatt and directed by Madeline Mccubbin. Steven Moffat’s The Unfriend is a dark, fast‑paced comedy that follows a perfectly ordinary B
