At many Kent Drama Festival adjudication nights, it’s quite common for the audience to remain after the performance to hear the adjudicator’s feedback. 🎭
 

1. The play finishes.
   The cast takes their bows as normal.

2. Short pause / reset.
   Sometimes there’s a brief moment while the adjudicator comes to the stage.

3. Adjudication talk.
   The adjudicator gives a spoken critique of the production, usually covering:

   • Acting performances

   • Direction and interpretation

   • Set, lighting, and sound design

   • Pacing and storytelling

   • Overall impact of the play

4. Educational focus.
   The feedback is meant to be constructive and educational, helping the company and audience understand what worked well and what could be improved.

5. Usually 10–20 minutes, though it can sometimes run a bit longer depending on the adjudicator
