Pratts Bottom Dramatics Society is preparing to step into the spotlight this year as it takes part in the Full Length Drama Festival organised by the Kent Drama Association.
The society will present The Unfriend, a dark comedy by acclaimed British writer Steven Moffat, published in association with leading theatre publisher Nick Hern Books.
The play centres on a respectable suburban couple whose chance holiday friendship spirals into increasingly uncomfortable and chaotic circumstances. Renowned for its sharp dialogue and escalating comic tension, The Unfriend offers both a challenge and an opportunity for the cast to showcase precise timing and strong ensemble performance.
The Kent Drama Association’s Full Length Drama Festival is a key event in the county’s amateur theatre calendar, bringing together groups from across the region to perform before a live audience and receive professional adjudication. Productions are assessed on acting, direction, staging, technical execution and overall impact.
Casting is about to get underway for Pratts Bottom Dramatics Society, with cast and crew working hard to deliver a polished and confident performance. With strong competition expected, the society is looking forward to representing the local community on the festival stage.
